How to Get More Money.

So it's something we all want more of. Whether we are wanting it to help others or God forbid get more stuff for ourselves. We want it.

So the first step is to change how you think about money.. Have you heard this before? Yeah me too. So here is the beef of that simple, yet mostly useless suggestion. The beef is.... What do you think about when you think about money? Is it abundance and plentifulness? Or is it I don't have enough and I need more. Lack.

So there is the beef. When Donald Trump thinks about money. Yeah I brought him into it. Regardless of how you feel about his political views the man is filthy rich. Ok back to what he thinks about money. Do you think, he thinks... Oh hell, how am I going to pay the rent this month or how am I going to come up with the money for braces for Suzy? Nope.. He is thinking where is my next million coming from. Rent and braces are nothing to him.

Literally how you think about money is a direct correlation to how much you have in your life. So to change this you have to stop thinking lack and start thinking abundance. There is enough money in this world for you to have all you need and more. And here is the kicker, you don't have to win the lottery to do it.

Ok real quick I want to go back to why you want more money. This is where you have to get selfish. Not selfish like lets knock down the other people to get all the money but selfish about what you really want that money for.

Many of us feel that in order to justify the money we have to do good things, charity, donations, helping others with a hand out. This is all great but you have to do what feels right for you. If you are passionate about dog rescue or feeding the hungry or digging wells in third world countries then do that. But if you are just spinning a wheel and giving money to do it, don't.Only do thinks that make you happy. I know for me helping others makes me happy. That is why I do this. I love sharing what I know and seeing others use it to be happier. I give but that is my business and when I do it's because is feels right to me.

With that said.. selfish. What do you want all this money for? Financial freedom? Ok but what does that look like? Is that living in your suburban home and having an extra $1K a month to spend on stuff? Does it mean buying an island in fiji and hiring a staff to take care of you and yours? Write it down and then figure out where you are in the financial spectrum. Are you going to need a few thousand a month more or are we talking millions more a year? Write it down!

Ok now we have a better idea of where we are. So now instead of thinking where is all this money going to come from, you have to start thinking differently. That rent, those braces are paid for already you just have to catch up with that and how you do that is by thinking about them being paid. Yeah, think about and FEEL it. Like Trump would do. He gets the bill and his people pay the bill for him. For now you can picture yourself writing that check or swiping that card.. PAID all done, moving on.

As you start shifting how you picture the end result with your finances you will see things start to shift. You might get some extra money out of the blue. That raise at work comes through and it's on the next paycheck. You get a brain storm about a way to make more money.

When you get clear on what you want the money for and then you start to shift from thoughts of lack to those of abundance things financially will make a shift for you. When you start slipping back just readjust and retrain your mind to think like a rich, financially free person.

Choosing To Be Happy

Went on a bit of a road trip yesterday. Me and the husband traveled about two and half hours up to the Seattle area to watch our 13 year old child perform in The Wenatchee Youth Circus. Talk about making the choice to be happy. All these kids from the littles to the adult-teens were all having the time of their lives. Low wire, high wire, trapeze, ladders, teeter boards and clowning. I know I missed a few but they were all bravely doing this in front of a small crowd because they loved it.

Included in all of this was our daughter. She Clowns and is a fill in Ring Mistress. Our daughter in her element, smiling from cheek to cheek. After the show we said our goodbyes to all the Circus members that we had met. I even was recruited to french braid a few heads of hair. We left our daughter with them. She wanted to stay and help them "tear down the lot". Being a part of all the aspects of the circus life is important and she knows that. She had the opportunity to leave with us and skip it all but to her that is all part of the fun and the responsibility.

So after we hugged her and gave her a few bucks for a meal on the road we left our clown and headed home. On the way home we talked about how happy she is and how sad it was that some don't ever find happiness in this world. I am amazed that both of our daughters have managed to find what they love at a young age and both have grabbed ahold.

So the key to happiness is simply to choose it and do it. Happiness isn't a goal, it's a way of life. You get up in the morning and you choose to choose things that make you happy.

There are a million and one excuses not to be happy, to see the crappy side of everything. If you live your life like that.. well then you are making that choice. You don't know that you could take that same energy and redirect it into a better way of looking at things. Now you do.. when you know better you have the opportunity to do better. So it's on you now.

Example:

You are unhappy with your job. I say well then get a new job. You say, it's not that easy. I say, WHY? I mean I know you aren't going to find a new job this afternoon, or are you? When was the last time you looked on Craigslist for jobs like yours? Or... Even better when was the last time you looked at what it would take to do that one job you have always wanted to do? Go do it and start to choose happiness. Get some hope going NOW.

Is it really that easy? Yes it really is that easy with all aspects of your life. Does it mean that nothing is going go wrong? No. You will run into obstacles and brick walls. But here is another key. After you yell and scream and throw your fit when your vacation money has to be spent on the auto mechanic to fix the car... Get your butt up, brush it off and start looking for solutions and lessons. It's not about what happens to you but how you handle it that makes you a happy person.

Hope this helps you choose Happiness.

What goes up has to come down... Syndrome or Reality?

So are you one of those people that believes that when everything is going great that it will all fall apart? Do you wait for the shit to hit the fan? Does life constantly crash down around you? Do you know why and how to change it?

If this is happening to you it is not a coincidence and it doesn't meant that your life sucks or that God is mad at you. What it means is that you have been taught to believe this and your beliefs rule your life. Is there always bad with the good? Yes there is there is always contrast to everything. So what makes some people have a wonderful life skipping over the bumps that come up and others are falling down constantly unable to get past some of these bumps?

The answer is Focus. It is what each person focuses on and more importantly believes that they should focus on. This makes all the difference because what you focus on is what you get more of. This explains how some people skip through life while others seem to fall constantly and getting up is such a struggle. It is all in what they are conditioned to focus on.

I like to think that I am one of the people in life that skips a lot, bouncing over the bumps with faith that the road will be solid and true on the other side to allow me to continue to skip. Do I get caught up and tripped? Yeah I do but nowadays I get up quickly and bounce and skip. How do I do this? How did I learn this?

I learned about the Law of Attraction and the first Rule, in my opinion, is that you have to be willing to take responsibility for what happens in your life. Some can't do this because they have been conditioned to believe that others have done things to them and that everyone else is to blame for their problems. It is much easier to wallow in that and put it off, give it away to others than to pull themselves up and create a better life. So the first step is to Take Full Responsibility for your Life... Right NOW! Even what happened to you when you were a baby and child, after all your soul chose to come here when it did and with who. IF you can do this your life will change.

When you take responsibility for your life you can step in and change what you believe. You can take charge of your focus and after you work at it for a while it will become habit and you will find yourself skipping through life as you should be, enjoying the jumps and bounces and continue skipping.

What should you focus on? This is simple. Focus on the good in all situations. At first this will be a struggle but you will get better and better at it and it becomes habit. You get in a fight with a loved one... Focus on what there is to learn.... How can you be a better person in the situation. There is a Natural disaster or War.... Focus on the helpers and inspiring stories... renew your faith in humans. Your car breaks down.... Be grateful that you are going to get a new one or have the resources to get it fixed or find another mode of transportation. Every situation has a silver lining and it has become your job to find it.

This shift will change your life forever... Enjoy your skipping.

Being in the Now

I just watched a documentary about a man who went on a journalism assignment and wound up getting to interview/ask the Dalai Lama 10 questions.

What I found most fascinating about the conversation and why we as Americans are so unhappy with life is that we have such a hard time being happy with what we have... Right Now. We are raised to constantly strive for more, more, more. In that process of more and more we lose sight of what is right there in our lives at this moment. NOW.

Have you actually taken stock in what is in your life at this moment? Are you warm, is your body nourished, do you have people who love and care about you? I believe this is where the Gratitude comes into play in the LOA. Being in a state of gratitude for what you have now is a part of the process to create a better tomorrow and a HAPPY NOW! Because really Now is all you have.

I am talking real gratitude here. Not just a list that you are forced to sit down and write out, although that is a start. I am talking about making it a habit to constantly be in an attitude of gratitude so you don't miss the answers to your desires that are thrown into your lives, sometimes not so clearly. For example if you are asking for a new car and your current vehicle breaks down and is irreparable.... Most reactions would be devastation and struggle... You have to know that you asked for that. Maybe not in the best way and you now know better so you can ask better next time. Either way you have to get a new car or ride the bus.

When you are appreciating everything that comes into your life you start to recognize these things that happen to answer your questions and desires and you get better and better at asking. Example, I want a new car and I want it to happen in the best possible way, better than I expect it to. And for NOW I am grateful that I have a working car to drive. Then you will get amazing results that include a new car without the struggle because you are expecting better and you get better.

Start right now with the List of Things/Situations/People that you are Grateful for RIGHT NOW!!! Start to recognize what you are grateful for in the moment. In all moments of the day and watch as your life becomes better and happier in the moment and how bright your future is when you expect it to be better.

Contrast Keeps Bringing me Around.

So I was just reading a post by Bob Proctor about greener pastures and how we are always seeking them... it is what we do. Even if we think we are never going to get there we still look and drool a little. If I could just hit those numbers oh how things would change. So I am in a bit of crisis right now... nothing big just hitting some contrast that yesterday seemed bleak because I was in that "never going to get there" mode. After a nice chat with my husband and (yes I know it is cheesy but he is my) best friend too. We both had a little revelation. You don't have to see the whole stair case you just have to take the first step. You know from the secret movie...

I have been teaching/mentoring/pushing if you will, The Law of Attraction on the people around me both in person and on Facebook and it just hit me last night that I don't have t jump in and be the workshop leader that I want to become right away. I can take the first few steps now. In reality I already have... I have written a book Happy Change Life , I have this blog and I seem to be inspiring quite a few people in my social circle. Hell I am even doing some LOA based Life Coaching a few times a week. I am doing it and for some reason I was not aware of that.

Sometimes it is hardest to see the forest through the trees.

So what is next for me? I want to do more Life Coaching. I want to keep doing eBay because I love the hunt and the sell. I want to more grateful for the life that I lead and the great people in my life.

As I sit here in my computer chair, pulling my imaginary seat belt across my lap (yes in my Camaro) I am ready to take on more of what I really love to do... Help others realized and get their goals... that is my goal.

So if after reading this you want to start getting coached with me to make your life happier email me. call me. Facebook me and we can start right away.

How to Manifest Anything

How to Manifest Anything

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
You can create the experiences you want. Your mind has the energy to bring into existence what you want to manifest. Click here for a Free Ebook & Video Ecourse on How to Manifest Anything by Using The Law of Attraction

Steps

  1. Accept and acknowledge that your thoughts are forms of energy that contain the seeds of your future experience.
  2. Learn to still your mind. Meditation is both easy and difficult. Once you master the meditative state, begin to introduce a specific word like 'happiness' or an image (sort of like your personal logo) in which you have invested some meaning (like a check with a specific amount on it).
  3. Reinforce this technique by keeping a new reality journal. In it write accounts in the present tense (as if happening now) of what you do, say, think in the experience that you are manifesting.
  4. Make way for new experiences by consciously changing old habits and routines. Take a new route to work. Get up earlier. Have something different for breakfast. Give up some things.
  5. Create rituals to symbolize your expected outcome. If you are manifesting a new car, buy something small that symbolizes it.
  6. Enlist the support of all supportive forces: trusted friends, favorite places, inspiring music, or even your own created talismans.

Tips

    • If you want to manifest a fortune, always carry around 100 dollars or more in your wallet. Wherever you go, look at the stores around you, and tell yourself "If I wanted to, I could go in there right now and buy that!" but don't actually buy it. Actually spending 100 dollars is a lot less satisfying compared to spending 100 dollars 10, 20, 30 times mentally. This will attract a lot of money towards you if you can imagine what it'd be like.

Warnings

  • Remembering, manifesting is really about being positive which is great. Even if you don't believe it, give being positive and manifesting a good long try. At the very least it will get you thinking more positively. The only thing you have to lose is negative thinking. This works for so many, it is incredible.
  • Resist the temptation to let events which seem inconsistent with the new experience you are creating distract you.
  • Beware of learned helplessness and those who exploit it. Regardless of whether you consult a physical teacher; books, videos, a CD, cassettes or a DVD, they all end up simply telling you to look back into your own heart and mind for the answers and results you seek.
  • Don't get trapped into the idea that you have to pay a fortune to something to have someone else teach you how to do this. You can research it for free at the library and on line.

How to Be Happy

How to Be Happy

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Happiness - isn't that the thing we all strive to find and keep? Nobody is happy all the time, but some people are definitely more fulfilled than others. Studies reveal that happiness has little to do with material goods or high achievement; it boils down to your outlook on life, and the quality of your relationships.

Steps

  1. Be optimistic. In the seventies, researchers followed people who'd won the lottery and found that a year afterward, they were no happier than people who didn't. This hedonic adaptation suggests that we each have a baseline level of happiness. No matter what happens, good or bad, the effect on our happiness is temporary, and we tend to revert to our baseline level. Some people have a higher baseline happiness level than others, and that is due in part to genetics, but it's also largely influenced by how you think.[1] So, while this article will help boost your happiness, only improving your attitude towards life will increase your happiness permanently. Here are excellent starting points for doing that:
  2. Have something to look forward to, always. It's important to work toward a goal you'll achieve by getting up every morning. Having something to look forward to makes you see the "big picture" and you won't feel as if you are just working every day towards nothing. Do something for someone else; when you are working on something bigger than yourself, you will find that inspiration naturally comes to you.
  3. Follow your gut. In one study, two groups of people were asked to pick a poster to take home. One group was asked to analyze their decision, weighing pros and cons, and the other group was told to listen to their gut. Two weeks later, the group that followed their gut was happier with their posters than the group that analyzed their decisions.[2] Now, some of our decisions are more crucial than picking out posters, but by the time you're poring over your choice, the options you're weighing are probably very similar, and the difference will only temporarily affect your happiness. So next time you have a decision to make, and you're down to two or three options, just pick the one that feels right, and go with it. Never regret the decisions you make, though. Just live by the 3 C's of life: choices, chances, and changes. You need to make a choice to take a chance, or your life will never change.
  4. Make enough money to meet basic needs: food, shelter, and clothing. In the US, that magic number is $40,000 a year. Any money beyond that will not necessarily make you happier. Remember the lottery winners mentioned earlier? Oodles of money didn't make them happier. Once you make enough to support basic needs, your happiness is not significantly affected by how much money you make, but by your level of optimism.[3]
    • Your comfort may increase with your salary, but comfort isn't what makes people happy. It makes people bored. That's why it's important to push beyond your comfort zone to fuel personal growth.
  5. Stay close to friends and family: Or move to where they are, so you can see them more. We live in a mobile society, where people follow jobs around the country and sometimes around the world. We do this because we think salary increases make us happier, but in fact our relationships with friends and family have a far greater impact on happiness. So next time you think about relocating, consider that you'd need a salary increase of over $100,000 USD to compensate for the loss of happiness you'd have from moving away from friends and family.[4] But if relationships with family and friends are unhealthy or nonexistent, and you are bent on moving, choose a location where you'll make about the same amount of money as everyone else; according to research, people feel more financially secure (and happier) when on similar financial footing as the people around them, regardless of what that footing is.[5]
  6. Have deep, meaningful conversations. A study by a psychologist at the University of Arizona has shown that spending less time participating in small talk and more time in deep, meaningful conversations can increase happiness. [6]
  7. Find happiness in the job you have now: Many people expect the right job or career to dramatically change their level of happiness, but research makes it clear that your levels of optimism and quality of relationships eclipse the satisfaction gained from your job.[7] If you have a positive outlook, you will make the best of any job, and if you have good relationships, you won't depend on your job for a sense of meaning. You'll find meaning in interactions with the people you care about. This isn't to say you shouldn't aspire to get a job that will make you happier; it means you should understand that the capacity of your job to make you happy is quite small relative to your outlook and your relationships.
  8. Smile: Science suggests that when you smile, whether you feel happy or not, your mood is elevated. [8] [9] So smile all the time! In addition, having enough money to pay the bills allows you to focus your energies on more productive aspects of your life, such a the pursuit of happiness, as opposed to keeping the 'wolves from the door'.
  9. Forgive: In a study of college students, an attitude of forgiveness contributed to better cardiovascular health. You could say forgiveness literally heals the heart. While it is unknown how forgiveness directly affects your heart, the study suggests that it may lower the perception of stress.[10]
  10. Make friends. In a 2010 study published by Harvard researchers in American Sociological Review, people who went to church regularly reported greater life satisfaction than those who didn't. The critical factor was the quality of friendships made in church. Church-goers who lacked close friends there were no happier than people who never went to church. When researchers compared people who had the same number of close friends, those who had close friends from church were more satisfied with their lives.[11] It's thought that the forming of friendships based on mutual interests and beliefs (and meeting consistently based on that) makes the difference, so if church is not your thing, consider finding something else you're deeply passionate about and making friends with whom you can connect regularly based on that. Furthermore, when you interact with people who share your interests, you will feel happier due to sensations of reward and well-being. This is because during such interactions, endorphin and dopamine -- neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of happiness and relaxation -- are released. In other words, your body is designed to feel happier when engaged in social interactions. [12]

Tips

  • Just because something seems to make others happy doesn't mean it really does. People may pretend they're happy, especially when they've invested so much into the things that are supposed to make them happy; it's hard to admit that you've been placing all your eggs in the wrong basket.
  • Don't be afraid to admit when you're down and need a lift. Conversely, if a person is a negative influence who drags you down, don't be afraid to remove such a person from your life.
  • Keep in close touch with relatives and a small circle of friends. Cultivate love and support.
  • When you're purposely trying to be happy or cheerful, but just can't seem to achieve it at the moment, do something crazy. Stupid, crazy, weird actions seem pointless, but could actually lift your mood -- just because you're glad you did it. Most fundamentally, recognize that happiness is a state of mind, not something to be defined objectively. You can change your state of mind in many ways including these suggestions:
    • Turn your favorite music up loud and do a stupid dance to it. Talk to yourself in the mirror.
    • Try a new food.
    • Rearrange your room in a weird way.
    • Write a funny or inspiring quote on your mirror/wall/locker.
    • Scream as loud as you can (warn your family first!) and bounce up and down; jump all around.
    • If it's a hot day, get your swimsuit on, go outside and turn the hose on yourself.
  • If you have a child, tell him/her often how much you love and admire him/her and would do anything to help him/her.
  • Listen to happy music, not music that will get you down.
  • Surround yourself with colours that make you happy. Make that dark wallpaper light blue or yellow.
  • If you are not happy, remember that you don't have to have a great house and be rich; live in a peaceful house and do what you want to do.
  • Nobody is perfect! Don't let just ONE bad thing make you sad.
  • Expect the best. You might think it's better to expect the worst, that way you'd never be disappointed. But in the long run you're going to be better off expecting the best because then you can always be proud of yourself, whatever happens.
  • Always try to impress your heart because that's where you will find god

Warnings

  • If you are constantly unhappy or depressed, seek professional help.
  • Happy people are not happy all the time. Everyone has times when they feel sad, frustrated, guilty, angry, and so on. Happy people are just better at bouncing back to a state of contentedness. We may all feel negative at moments in our lives, but try to bounce back and live in the moment, and be content with everything you do.
