So it's something we all want more of. Whether we are wanting it to help others or God forbid get more stuff for ourselves. We want it.
So the first step is to change how you think about money.. Have you heard this before? Yeah me too. So here is the beef of that simple, yet mostly useless suggestion. The beef is.... What do you think about when you think about money? Is it abundance and plentifulness? Or is it I don't have enough and I need more. Lack.
So there is the beef. When Donald Trump thinks about money. Yeah I brought him into it. Regardless of how you feel about his political views the man is filthy rich. Ok back to what he thinks about money. Do you think, he thinks... Oh hell, how am I going to pay the rent this month or how am I going to come up with the money for braces for Suzy? Nope.. He is thinking where is my next million coming from. Rent and braces are nothing to him.
Literally how you think about money is a direct correlation to how much you have in your life. So to change this you have to stop thinking lack and start thinking abundance. There is enough money in this world for you to have all you need and more. And here is the kicker, you don't have to win the lottery to do it.
Ok real quick I want to go back to why you want more money. This is where you have to get selfish. Not selfish like lets knock down the other people to get all the money but selfish about what you really want that money for.
Many of us feel that in order to justify the money we have to do good things, charity, donations, helping others with a hand out. This is all great but you have to do what feels right for you. If you are passionate about dog rescue or feeding the hungry or digging wells in third world countries then do that. But if you are just spinning a wheel and giving money to do it, don't.Only do thinks that make you happy. I know for me helping others makes me happy. That is why I do this. I love sharing what I know and seeing others use it to be happier. I give but that is my business and when I do it's because is feels right to me.
With that said.. selfish. What do you want all this money for? Financial freedom? Ok but what does that look like? Is that living in your suburban home and having an extra $1K a month to spend on stuff? Does it mean buying an island in fiji and hiring a staff to take care of you and yours? Write it down and then figure out where you are in the financial spectrum. Are you going to need a few thousand a month more or are we talking millions more a year? Write it down!
Ok now we have a better idea of where we are. So now instead of thinking where is all this money going to come from, you have to start thinking differently. That rent, those braces are paid for already you just have to catch up with that and how you do that is by thinking about them being paid. Yeah, think about and FEEL it. Like Trump would do. He gets the bill and his people pay the bill for him. For now you can picture yourself writing that check or swiping that card.. PAID all done, moving on.
As you start shifting how you picture the end result with your finances you will see things start to shift. You might get some extra money out of the blue. That raise at work comes through and it's on the next paycheck. You get a brain storm about a way to make more money.
When you get clear on what you want the money for and then you start to shift from thoughts of lack to those of abundance things financially will make a shift for you. When you start slipping back just readjust and retrain your mind to think like a rich, financially free person.
